Impact & Outcomes
1 / What specific skills will my team walk away with?
We focus on durable soft skills, including, but not limited to:
-
Emotional intelligence
-
Clear communication and storytelling
-
Feedback (giving and receiving)
-
Conflict navigation
-
Adaptability and resilience
-
Cultural awareness
-
Psychological safety
-
Reflection and self-awareness
2 / How is this different from traditional training?
Traditional training is often lecture-based and quickly forgotten. SongShift is experiential, music-driven, and built for the realities of creative industries. Teams don’t just hear about soft skills — they practice them in real time, then reflect and embed the learning. We believe that the best learning is experienced.
3 / How do you measure effectiveness?
We evaluate outcomes through structured reflection, peer-to-peer feedback, and post-session follow-ups. We also provide optional Playback Reports and Team Debrief Sessions to help managers track behavioural changes and momentum over time. We can also design and deploy pre- and post-session surveys to gauge effectiveness depending on the KPI provided by the client.
4 / Do you provide reports or follow-up support?
Yes. Options include:
-
Playback Report: A written summary of team behaviours and insights.
-
Team Debrief Session: A guided 90-minute reflection follow-up.
-
1:1 Mentorship: Individual coaching to apply learning.
-
Monthly Prompts: Ongoing nudges to reinforce skills.
Logistics & Practicalities
1 / How long is each session?
-
Masterclass: 1-1.5 hours (virtual)
-
Half-Day Session: 3 hours (virtual or in-person)
-
Full-Day Session: 6 hours (in-person only)
-
Bespoke (Varies by client)
2 / Do you run sessions online, hybrid, or in-person?
Yes — we can adapt to all three formats. Many clients choose hybrid or virtual for distributed teams for Masterclasses and half-day sessions, while full-day sessions are designed for in-person experiences.
3 / What locations do you cover for in-person workshops?
We are based in Europe but deliver sessions globally. We travel to where teams are based, whether in the UK, Europe, or internationally.
4 / What technology or materials do participants need?
For virtual sessions, participants only need a laptop with a camera and mic, headphones (optional), and internet access. For in-person sessions, we provide the tools and tech required (such as Ableton Move devices). No prior setup is needed from the client side. Typically, we do need access to basic AV items (beamer and screen).
5 / How much advance notice do you need to set up a session?
Ideally 4–6 weeks, but we can sometimes accommodate shorter timelines depending on availability, logistics and complexity of project.
Pricing & Engagement
1 / What does a typical session cost?
Pricing depends on the format (Masterclass, Half-Day, Full-Day, or custom) and scope. We price per session, not per participant.
2 / Do you price per person or per session?
Per session. This makes budgeting simpler and encourages you to bring the right group of people together. That being said, there will be differences in fees for a group of 5 vs. a group of 50, but we always price per session.
3 / What’s included in the fee?
All facilitation, music tools, and standard materials are included. Optional add-ons (reports, mentorship, or monthly prompts) can be added based on your needs. Please note that travel fees will be included separately from the session fees.
4 / How do we get a quote?
Simply contact us at info@songshift.co or via the form on the Contact Us page. We’ll set up a short call to understand your needs and provide a tailored proposal.
Facilitator Expertise & Credibility
1 / Who leads the sessions?
SongShift was founded and is led by Brandon Kirby, an experienced facilitator with 20+ years across music, marketing, and education. Brandon has been a label founder, DJ, promoter, producer, and a senior leader in global higher education at a top European business school.
2 / What experience do you have in both education and the music industry?
Brandon designed and ran leadership, MBA, and Executive Education programmes at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, while also working in the music industry as a label founder and mentor. In addition, he has deep expertise in the advertising/creative sector having founded an award-winning branding agency. This dual background shapes SongShift’s unique approach.
3 / Have you worked with teams like ours before?
We’ve delivered workshops for creative teams in music, education, and adjacent industries. Our clients range from startups to established organisations navigating growth and change. This experience informs our unique approach to professional development.
4 / Where have you delivered these workshops in the past?
Sessions have been delivered at industry conferences like Music Frontiers in Berlin, as well as directly for creative organisations and leadership teams.
Customisation & Process
1 / Can you customise the programme for our team’s needs?
Yes. Every engagement begins with a conversation. We take time to understand where the growth opportunities are in your team, then design a programme with you that targets those areas. We can adapt content to your culture, team dynamics, and organisational priorities.
2 / How do you figure out what our team really needs?
We use a consultative approach and our experience developing University-level professional development programmes. Before delivering a session, we meet with you to explore your goals and challenges. This helps us tailor our modules and exercises so they resonate with your team and create lasting impact.
3 / Do you run discovery sessions before the workshop?
Yes. We always include a discovery step where we identify growth areas, confirm learning outcomes, and adapt our approach accordingly. We believe by taking this time pays off in creating a programme that will really resonate with your team.
4 / Can you build something for a leadership offsite, strategy day, or retreat?
Definitely. Our programmes work well as standalone experiences, but they also integrate seamlessly into larger events like offsites or retreats. We know the challenges of planning an offsite for a busy team leader, so let us do the heavy lifting for you! We can be completely turnkey if needed.
5 / How flexible are you with adapting to our culture and goals?
Flexibility is central to how we work. We design each session to reflect your context, from the examples we use in the workshop to the specific soft skills we prioritise.
